Let your dog sniff the toothbrush first. Apply a small amount of dental gel to the centre of the three brush heads or onto the toothbrush. Gently lift your dog's lips and cheeks, slide the brush over a tooth so the bristles contact the top and both sides, and brush in a slow circular or gentle back-and-forth motion. Start with one or two teeth and the adjoining gum line, then gradually increase to more teeth and work toward the rear teeth. Build up to about 30 seconds per side. Rinse thoroughly after each use and replace every three months.
